Rocks and Minerals were my favorite part of Geology. I liked learning about the different forms and characteristics about them.

Oceanography was my favorite part of earth science because i love looking at water sences and learning about them.

Of the atmosphere section, my favorite part of it was clouds. I liked the way they formed and moved. They were able to change the wearther and temperature.

My favorite part of astromony was learning about Saturn and its rings. The best part of the is its ring. There seven divisions of the rings and are made up of different particles like dust, rocks, icy objects and others.

The Greenhouse Effect

1. Greenhouse Effect is when the earth's atmosphere traps solar radiation, caused by the gases that allow incoming sunlight to pass through but absorb heat radiated back from the earth's surface.

2. The three most common types of gases are carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane.

3. They have formed because the earth's temperature has inceased 5 degree.

4. It makes the temoerature hotter on the earth which makes the seasons hotter.

5. The greenhouse effect is good because if it wasn't there, it would be freezing all year.

Off Shore Drilling

1. Offshore drilling is a drilling for oil or gas in an ocean, gulf, or sea, usually on the Outer Continental Shelf.

2. Offshore drilling is good because it brings money to people who work on the sites and owners and because we use the oil to transport to places.

3. It is bad because oil can spill in the ocean and can kill millions of sea animals.

4. I think that offshore drilling is both good and bad because it can spill and kill animals but it also heats up homes and runs cars.

Recycling

1. We should recycle glass, paper, metals, and plastic because we can make new iteams from each.
2. I think both are better then the other at one point or time because if you keep recycling glass it losses quality whereas you can not reuse paper so you would have to recycle it.
3. Fayetteville citizens can recycle by collecting all week and bringing the blue trash can to the crub on pickup day.
4. The closest center to my house is the one at the Hope Mills recreational Center.
5. I could be an example in my neighborhood and get other people to do it wit me.

My grade

Mr. Dunn, your class is so much fun and I really enjoy going to class. My blogs so far have been completed but I think I should at least get a B on my blogs. All of my blogs are complete and are published and my spelling and grammer is checked and corrected if need-be. I pretty sure most people said that they deserve an A on their blogs but I think I deserve at least a B.

Lastest Earthquakes

Most earthquakes occur around the tip of Alaska and a little part of Asia. I think that area has a lot of earthquakes because it on a fault line that has a lot of stored energy. This fault is called Denali fault.
The closet earthquake was in the southeastern part of Missouri and in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 7:25:58 AM in Britsh Columbia, Canada near the Vancouver Island a earhtquake occured. The earthquakes occur offshore and are to far away to be felt. They are also to small to create a tsunami. Many earhtquakes are happening in this area and have been recorded scince August.

Renewable Resource

I think all of them could all be consider the best but i think solar energy is a top best. Solar energy comes from the sun which is out most of the day. People are creating a way to save the energy in a type of battier, that way while you are at work, the energy is being saved. Also people are being kind to even let neighbors use the energy when its not being used.
